This week, bulldozers broke ground inside Big Bend National Park, with a $1.7B contract awarded from the U.S. government to build border infrastructure that longtime residents call wildly unnecessary, stirring up a fight that began last spring to protect land rights, clean water, ecological safety, and good old fashioned American freedom.

We’ve been following the residents of Terlingua, Texas, a small town on the Rio Grande, as the heavy machinery rolls in.

This is the first look at LAST TOWN IN AMERICA, a documentary about the last wild stretch of the American border, and the people fighting to keep it that way.
