Civic Saturday Akron is a grassroots group of Akronites hosting joyful neighborhood gatherings to celebrate community and shared civic power. Born out of the national Civic Saturday movement launched by Citizen University, Civic Saturday Akron produced Akron's first Longest Table in 2026.

Citizen University, based in Seattle, Washington equips civic catalysts across the nation with the ideas, strategies, and spirit to build a culture of powerful, responsible citizenship. In 2025, CU trained 19 Akronites in the Civic Saturday model, including the Fellows featured in this film.

People Feeding People is a free mobile grocery store distribution program operating in Summit County, Ohio with a mission to organize the resources in the community to build power, promote wellness, and combat food apartheid.

The Longest Table is an initiative of NYCNext (501c3), bringing neighbors together for shared meals in open spaces where everyone belongs. It began in Chelsea, New York City in 2022 as a free community event and has since grown to hundreds of cities across the U.S. and internationally.

Knight Foundation supports a more effective democracy by funding free expression and journalism, arts and culture in community, research in areas of media and democracy, and the success of American cities and towns where the Knight brothers once published newspapers, including its founding home of Akron, Ohio
